Marine Transfer

How do I transfer marines from one friendly ship to another.

The same way you do ware transfers too by selecting the Freight Exchange option from the ships info/target -> advanced tab. The target ship for the transfer must either be docked to the same station or, when the ship you want to tranfer marines from has a Transporter Extension installed and is in space, the target ship must be less 5 km away. You also need to make sure that the receiving ship can carry marines and has a Cargo Life Support system installed.

...and has sufficient cargo space: 8 units per marine, M cargo class or larger.

Ship types capable of carrying marines:
- all capital ships from frigate (M7) and up, usual capacity: 20 (there are one or two exceptions)
- all corvettes (M6), capacity 8 in X3AP, 5 in X3TC
- military transports ("mini-carriers") (TM) - capacities same as M6
- personnel transports (TP), capacity 40 in X3AP, something like 10 or 20 in X3TC (I forget which, now)
