Encountered a problem with small shipyards in OL

As the title says once I reach OL space and go to small shipyards to buy fighters I have encountered a problem. Pretty much all of the ships in the buy list have an amount of 0 which equates to me being unable to buy those ships. I've waited a while to see if those shipyards would produce new ships but after 1-3 hours waiting and checking back there was no change.

I'm certain starting to wonder now if a mod is causing this here is a list of mods that add ships which I'm only suspecting might be a cause to this.

that's all I could find in my extensions folder in the XRebirth steam folder and what I have on my subscribed mods through steam that add ships to shipyards. I've also included two screen shots of a small shipyard in OL that shows the issue.

If the ships are listed for sale at all, then the station should have a production module that produces the ships. Sounds more like an in-game production issue rather than being mod-related.

Think that most likely causes are:

1) Lack of resources,
2) Wrecked storage modules,
or 3) Wrecked production modules.

Easiest way to check would be to temporarily install either Scimitar's Revealthingz or Rubini's Better Station Scan Mode and check the station's production modules to see what wares they have on queue and if they're producing.

you forgot:
4) Jobs taking the produced Ships faster than they can be produced.
if not stated otherwise everything i post is licensed under WTFPL

Ich mache keine S&M-Auftragsarbeiten, aber wenn es fragen gibt wie man etwas umsetzen kann helfe ich gerne weiter ;)

I wont do Script&Mod Request work, but if there are questions how to do something i will GLaDly help ;)

It might be the lack of resources, the other two I doubt are the problem because using Rubini's mod I got 100% scan on the shipyards which means no modules were destroyed and a visual inspection of the station before I tried to buy ships showed there was nothing wrong physically with the station. I'll have to take a look at the stations resources.

The question of course is if I find that the station has the wares it needs to produce the ships why isn't it producing them? Which comes back to mods causing an issue.

Forgot that one! Yes, also possible. But that would be harder to investigate short of shutting off all jobs or lowering their numbers by a lot, and checking to see if stocks then build up.

Still not necessarily, but sure, it's possible. If a station has resources but isn't producing could be that it's production modules are wrecked, or completely destroyed. (Not sure if any mods allow stations to be partly destroyed. Don't think so, but am not absolutely sure anymore.)

I'd check:
the station's production details first to see if it's producing at all,
if it isn't, check to see if it has required resources (also from production details),
next, storage to see if it can store required resources and product,
if it needs resources, check to see if the manager posted trade offers.

If there simply is no reason for the station to not produce, and it doesn't, then there might be a bigger problem.

If you have a save handy, I could take a look. Can't promise to get it done tonight though.

I started a new game to be sure, a non-campaign game and flew to the shipyard in Radiant Haven. It had ships in plenty supply so I'm going to assume it's the save itself + maybe a lack of resources or maybe I misread the scan amount and the station was damaged. I'd give a save but I decided to start over again last night and overwrote the savefile. It could be my save file got borked with adding mods in. I try hard not to add mods when I have a game going in case such a thing happens. If I encounter the problem again though I will def post the save so someone can look at it, though be forewarned I use a lot of mods :wink:

Can be problematic when the problem is something in the logic possibly involving multiple scripts altering the same thing and conflicting. But in a problem like this, shouldn't be too much of a problem. Worst-case, can access the save with a text editor. Won't be as fun as loading up the save, but that's sometimes enough to see who's doing what and where it's breaking down.

Well, this one say add m/s ships but really replaces other production. Maybe you installed that mod in middle of a save and in the shipyard production the old list is there.

EDIT: Nice quote :D

There is a problem with getting new S/M ships into a previously saved game. So Aladinaleks added a md-script to his mod that patches small shipyards so the new ships will also be produced. This patch destroys the whole production of the small shipyard but they should then be re-produced over time. Since he advised me to do the same I use a similar script in my mod CSP.

Never had the problem that shipyards did not produce any ships -> maybe they are out of materiels.
