Rigt, i have downloaded and installed several scripts. When i am in the script editor in X2, i press (l) to load a new script, i type in the name of it and it appears on the menu, with the correct description i then press R to run it, it makes a little noise and then comes up with a screen that shows several arguments. Do i need to do something else because nothing actually happens, it is a ship spawning script.....
Thanx

Many scripts consist of actually more parts(several scripts). Make sure you run the right one. Most of the times the script asks you to enter certain parameters (you know, the screen with the first line <NULL> etc.
Many times also the script 'installs' a new command under ship->command console (among Trade, Nav, Special etc you get a new menu, called "Custom" (like Budget Factories for example), and you need to give certain command. Usually, if you do everything OK, on your upper-left corner of the screen will appear the word "Modified", meaning the script is running. Hope this helps. I had also problem with installing scripts, beause i didnt know about all the Thereshallbewings fuss, and couldnt run anything. I dont cheat, but when you have several dozen(hundreds?) of Stations, its really, really annoying to take/give money to every single Station/fab.
Chazz.

Press enter when the variables screen comes up.
First thing it asks for it where to run it from. For a one-off ship spawning script you can probably select null. It'll then ask you for the arguments.
After it's run you should be back at the list of scripts.
