Trading bug: Not getting money for selling items

Hi there,

I browsed to forums for a bit and was amazed that no one else seemed to have this bug. So yeah, here comes the description:

I just bought my first trading ship (Rahanas Container) and sent it to buy missiles, which it did flawlessly. I then sent it to sell these missiles, it moved to the target and unloaded the missiles, but I didn't get any credits (Contract was worth ~2kk). The credits for buying them were normally taken from me.

I retried with Construction-URVs shortly after, and this time it worked (despite not getting any notification about the credits, which is a flaw in my view)

I thought it might just be the missiles that are bugged and sent my second trading ship (Rahanas Fluid) to buy and sell some water, again itb ought the water normally and unloaded, but without resulting in any credits for me.

What I observed that might be decisive:
When sending the fluid transporter, the ship was in my squad and didn't move. After fiddling around a bit I removed it from my squad and it started moving and doing it's job. From some forums and webpages I read that to trade a ship is supposed to be in your squad.

Anyone know if that causes this odd behaviour?

TL;DR: Ship trades normally but doesn't yield selling credits.

=> do you use Scripts/Mods?
=> did the money end up on the captains account somehow? (usually the Money for buying stuff is stored there till the Wares are transfered, and for selling stuff the Money is transferred to the Captain for a short moment, too)
usually with adding/removing Trades from the Shoppinglist the needed/unneeded Money should be transferred from/to the Captains account automatically (a fact which annoys me if i want to use the Shoppinglist for automated Ships), but maybe something broke that?

I do not use any mods/scripts yet, not even texture replacers. My philosophy is to get vanilla working first before modding it to death

There is a captains account? 0: Can I view/transfer it somehow? I remember reading something about the "captain's account" on another forum when i googled the problem for the first time, but I thought it was just some false info.

you can see it on the Captains Details Page (same Section as the Budget in the Managers Details), but not sure if you can transfer Money from/to there (its usually not necesary because the Transfers are automatically done when adding/removing Trades)


and dont worry if you didnt know it exists - you usually dont notice it because its more a technical thing and not really obvious to whom the Money for the Trades is transferred to

I've been browsing the details pages of my ships, captains, their skills, the cargo bays etc etc, but I couldn't find any account information (or anything measured in "credits"). Question about the game versions:

What's currently the most bug-free version? 1.3? 2.0? To be honest, I'm 90% confused about what version I use and what version I should use. I'm playing X Rebirth 2.0 I think

you should always have the latest non-beta Version which is 3.61 (except you opted in for the current Beta of 4.0)

just dug through a Beta Bugrep about the Manager losing his account when transferring Wares which caused this Item not to be available in the Info - did you maybe transfer Wares from/to this Ship? maybe this bug was not just restricted to the Manager...

That sounds like a 32bit OS version
You can verify this on the properties of the game in steam.
Make a check of your game-files in the fly

Thanks, apparently the entire section is missing for me. I guess I should've updated earlier since im more than 1.0 versions behind xD

Game files are all good according to Steam, and x64 :3

I'll try the update tomorrow, disabled auto update in steam due to terribly slow internet, didn't expect that there were that many more after 2.0 xD

Anyways, thanks you two for caring, I'll report in tomorrow.

Something has to be wrong there. Could you please register your game as per here and we can probably see what has gone wrong for you.
