X3 Asks for Original Disk

X3 Asks for Original Disk
I keep getting this message every time I try to start the game. "Please insert original DVD of "X3 Terran Conflict!" When I click OK, it then gives the following error message, "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application. How do I get the game to start?

Download and install the latest patch.
Also here is the X Rebirth Tech Support Forum, this belongs either into the X Universe or X3 Tech Support Forum, but another Mod will move it if he sees it

Moving to X3TC Tech Sp from X Rebirth.
Install all the patch updates before running the game and all disk protection issues are resolved.
