everytime i use seta out of autopilot doesn't work

so it immediately cancels when i push j when i'm not autodocking, but if it's off, i can't use it. i just started doing that and i dont know what i did

See if you have developed a keyboard, controller or joystick sending a continuous signal (stuck key/button or slider/stick calibration/deadzone problem). Possibly helpful FAQs here.

Also check that you have not assigned another navigation function to the 'j' key in your custom profile by checking the relevant control key settings in in-game Options.

A longer shot is that you (or a mod) may have assigned a hotkey or macro to the 'j' key.
