Went from point a to point b using the jump function from the Improved betty mod had a lot of ships I capped following me and as a result from jumping from Far Out to DV's main system the ships following me decided to take it upon themselves to bunny hop their way to me. In that I mean jump right into a sector that had a hostile station imho Buried Treasure and promptly start getting shot at by the PMC station there.
Why can't the AI be more intelligent instead of bunny hopping the jump beacon network and just jump to the nearest beacon nearest to me?
Qustion: Better or more intelligent AI jumping?

It's a balance and lore thing, I think. It's actually easier to have your ships jump straight to you from wherever they are (requires one command as opposed to referencing another whole script which is currently used to calculate a path through the jump beacon network, go through jump gates, and go get jump fuel if they're running short), but vanilla ships jump a particular way, and it would be rather weird if some ships had supercharged jump drives of some sort which could jump from a zone in Maelstrom straight to a zone in Albion and others did not.
If all ships were made to move that way, then it would take away from gameplay, in my opinion. At the moment, we know that a ship moving from, say, Cuspid Splint to Gemstone Manufacture would have to move through the jump beacon zones in Ascendancy and Inner World (where it can be ambushed). If it were to be capable of jumping straight to Far Out, that would no longer be the case.
Would also drive the demand for fuel cells down since a ship would use only 100 fuel cells instead of 500 or so depending on where it's going.

there is an option in the move.jump to jump directly to the destination. it also accounts for increased fuel cell demand (used FCs wont differ between bunny-hopping or direct jumps) - but it also enables jumping trough gate routes which have no additional fuel requirements.. imo this case should need additional FCs though, like 10 times the demand for an InCluster-Jump or even more..
