too many darn pirates and not enough xenon...

I've started x-tension all over and making my money through capturing, however all I can find are pirates. PIRATES!! PIRATES!! PIRATES!!
i want to find some xenon ships but they hide in their sectors..all..xenophobic. :roll: the only time I see any is when I have a mission as to protect something or be carrier for a package.


point being..I would rather not see just a bunch of pirates flying anywhere and rarely any khaak flying into the inner sectors (lol).... any of the mods able to give some info as to how swarms might operate. Will they be in sectors and come out during periods with long "interregnums" between attacks or will there be constant waves of khaak(ahem) coming at you :roll: :?: please tell me these swarms wil not just be difficult but often....I want the effects of actually being up against a species that's intention is of total annihilation or whatever it may be :)

:( be careful snowy, if these are real bad asses, being overwhelmed by superior forces could get a little boring and frustrating.

black hole sun is only good if you have blown a lot of stuff up in the western xenon sector. After blowing up a few ships etc. in teh western sector, the xenon shipyard in the sector north of black hole sun sends in recruits. you can do this alternately with the northernmost sector, only its seems too be rarely done :wink:

PTNI Headquarters is my favourite Xenon hunting ground (well it is now that the Teladi destroyer has been destroyed)
Continuous flow of Xenon (the occasional pirate)
Send captures directly to shipyard (so no chance of your captures being shot at flying thru many sectors)

Plus it is a fairly bright and attractive system. :roll:

I found that by clearing out Xenon from the Enemy Sector beside 18 billion, and plonking in a station, I could have some fun with the Xenon who make it through, attacking my base.

However, this approach tends to wreak havoc through the stretch of systems between the Xenon shipyard, and this ES, as the destroyers regenerate.

Things tend to turn out badly for your ships and stations if you aren't in the sector at the time of a battle, though. I guess this because events in other sectors are simulated.

Thyn's Abyss and Black Hole Sun are also good hunting grounds, though I've seen the Xenon go as far as Ocean of Fantasy. Usually just a lone Destroyer or Carrier.

yes that is also a good point. fighting humungous forces like that can become boring and routine. hopefully they are close to well "perfecting it"- not too many but not a few. this will be difficult but I expect good results from the dev team. much better than good :wink:
