CV Not Building --Station Red Boxed No Traders can enter.

(Station build glitch in Free Play game mode)
I was about to add Stage 2 of a Cell Fab Matrix Station when the Red Box appears and then nothing else happens.

So now, none of my ships will enter the box and the CV architect won't allow me to cancel or change any build orders (all the options are greyed out).

I see some Argon Patrol fighters just sitting by my station and not moving, and I don't want to have to destroy them and lose my already fragile rep.

I need some help!! I don't want to back out to an earlier save because I just 'stole' a trader from another faction and I'd like to keep it and not have to go through the whole battle again.



I'm running the X-Rebirth 3.20 patch with the Teladi Outpost DLC.

Hey Mikle68.

Enter nearest highway, travel to a new zone and your Arcitect should setup the building, starting request for wares etc. You can travel back once you have confirmed the Arcitect have setup trades for supplies.

I usually only give construction orders when I'm not in the zone with the station. Then the stations doesn't have to check for ships inside the red box and can start building right away.

I've noticed that happening, too. The NPCs are supposed to get out of the way but instead they just FREEZE. You can even shoot at them and they will just sit there.

Building projects always work best if you are out of the zone where the building is to take place.

I never go to a zone where I am building stuff until the first section is compelte and I need to drop off the station managers. Then I leave again and don't return untill the station is complete.
