Entering Omicron Lyrae destroys my ships

ever time i enter Omicron Lyrae for the first time half my ships are destroyed.
no under attack message just note in my logbook, ship destroyed.
so i go and load an older save then try to move the ships some place safe but no good.

any one getting the same problem?

bit more info

the gate in Vapour Stream as part of the story when you first meet the argon navy.
second i go through my logbook updates to say half my Taranis or Sol(heavy/light) ships so only the combat ships have been destroyed. they where all in Glaring Truth.
i have tried have them all together, all in different place's and even in empty space.

i have 10 Taranis 2 Heavy Sol 4 Light Sol i seem to loose 7 or 8 of them every time.

i have done this 5 times now never the same ones.

my new plan was to sell them all rather then loose them but i do not think it should be doing that. i would rather keep them.

i have no mods

I did loose balor in same way also in omicron, but I did not leave sector,
balor was in other sector.

i did try the long way around yesterday.
i went in from TU space in to Omicron Lyrae and nothing happens to my ships.
i leave Omicron Lyrae in to Vapour Stream still nothing.
go back through the gate into Omicron Lyrae and 6 ships in Glaring truth are destroyed, has no one else seen a bug like this.
is the game trying to balance my attack strength by destroying only my combat ships.

are there any fixes any one can offer?
