X Series And Nvidia Shadowplay

I bought X3: Reunion, Terran Conflict, Pretty much the whole series on Steam and went to record some nice graphical shots but for some reason this is the only game Shadowplay doesn't work with.

there's a red line through the usual green recording dot which usually means a no go.

Anyone know a way around this by chance ? I've tried using Fraps but the performance hit when recording is exceptionally huge whereas Shadowplays performance hit is only around 1-2%.

Any insight is appreciated

The be honest I personally don't know anything about Nvidia Shadowplay.

I have used Nvidia Shadowplay with XR to capture a few vids of hard to explain bugs. with out any problems

I use manual capture mode in shadowplay

Same thing here. None of the modes work. I tried different games and it works normally.

Also, using FRAPS for recording X:R gives me 5-9FPS max (i have 60+ fps during normal gameplay and maxed out settings), so there's definitely something weird about X:R and video capture
