Autopilot in highways - bashing other traffic

Can anything be done to stop the skunk colliding into other traffic in the highways when on autopilot. I love watching autopilot take me through these will im looking how my little economy is doing, but when this happens it looks ridiculous and the speed reduction is an irritation.
