Hi...
Really sorry for my first post to be a bug report but I'm stuck on the part where I just got back from DeVries and I need to fly to PMC Tech Laboratory I.
First of all - the pointer to the Lab is set in the middle of nowhere in the zone where the lab actually is. Once i get close the marker dissapears and nothing happens.
Also - every single ship in the zone is hostile and I'm under constant fire. If I fight back I get reported to the police and even more hostile ships spawn.
As I understood - The heart of Albion ships should jump in the sector and help me out but that never happens.
Any ideas?
I've also heard that the "Defence officer" mod might cause the ships to never jump, but if I disable the mod I can't even load the game. It just says "missing mod" or something like that.
Any help is much apreciated
Plot bug - stuck (modded game - no issue in vanilla)

Re: Plot bug - stuck
That certainly sounds like something which can break several missions. Unless this is an issue which people run into in the vanilla game, there's not much support we can give.sysryn wrote:I've also heard that the "Defence officer" mod might cause the ships to never jump, but if I disable the mod I can't even load the game. If it is a mod issue, you'll have to ask the mod author or other users for support. I would suggest reverting to a savegame before the plot got stuck however and not attempting to progress as the plot may not be salvageable by that point. If there is an update to the mod, try again and see.

If the mod you refer to is CDOAIO, and you are using that mod in it's entirety (e.g. without removing fight.attack.object.capital.xml), then you're likely to begin to find huge cross formations of abandoned drones that can nuke FPS. If that is the case, it would probably be best to start again anyway I'm afraid.

you can actually force the game to load the save by removing the mod from the <patches> list at the top of the save file.
it's usually safe to do that but content and ai script mods can be flavour country, very dangerous. as always when editing save files, you are taking your virtual life into your own hands.

Irrational factors are clearly at work.
