Controller Targeting Bugs + Improvements

Users of keyboard + mouse only need not read on.

Those that remain I assume are enjoying using an xbox controller (or similar) in the game.

So this is a request to the Developers for a couple of things that would make using the controller more user functional:
1. Fix target next enemy & target closest enemy functions - they just have never worked on a controller, damned annoying.
2. With more and more functions added I propose that one button could be dedicated like the shift key on the keyboard, i.e. provides a second function for other keys. This could be an example of how it would work...

I'm sure you'll all agree with the first point, how does the second sound?

Totally support this, both options are needed, and a click to fix target too.

Yeah, soft targeting is massively broken. I like the controller, but i've taken to use K+M again to avoid frustration.

If there was a free look modifier it would be awesome.

Original post is here... <Merged. Alan Phipps> ... but I'm posting it as a bug, since it is one, and no-one 'official' recognised the issue in the above thread. It's been an issue since those targeting functions were added.

Second part of that page has a suggestion for providing more functionality for the controller as well.
