X Rebirth 2.0 is not updating - It was updated to 2.20 but 2.0 still shows at start.

X Rebirth 2.0 is not updating - It was updated to 2.20 but 2.0 still shows at start.
I've read several places that X Rebirth is up to 2.20. With the exception of the beta version I have everything for X Rebirth set on steam to always update and now high priority. But X Rebirth is still at 2.0. I looked at the folder its in and it is in program files x86. Is this the actual reason I'm not updating? I'm sorry to be a bother, but I've looked for several hours last night and this morning to find nothing on this so far. Thanks in advance Mike.

As long as your Steam folder is in Program Files (x86) and Rebirth is in the Steam set-up there then it should be OK. (Example path C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\X Rebirth.) However, if you have moved the Rebirth folder away from where you set up Steam to install it then Steam will not know where it is now.
You can always verify your Steam gamefiles cache for Rebirth and it will tell you if you are missing files/updates and try to download them. If you have moved the folder then it may try to totally reinstall the game in the original location!
Also make sure your Rebirth folder and its path does not have any element set to read-only.

Thanks for your reply. 
I've not removed the folder or moved it. I have verified a few times and also have tried a reinstall. Neither worked for updating and yes everything check out. I just checked the properties on the X Rebirth folder and it was ticked as read only. I did untick it and said yes to all sub folders when asked. Fingers are crossed. Again thanks for your reply. It is in the Steam folder that steam created. Is there anything else I may be over looking here. Thanks again.
P.S. I'm re verifying hopefully this will bring things up to date. Once again thanks and fingers are crossed.

Nothing going so far. It said all files successful. Just going to wait a bit see if maybe its just gonna take a few to catch up. IS update 2.20 in Beta? The only Beta option I get is for 32bit. MY OP is a 64 bit.

Full release version 2.20 has a 64 bit exe by default. You can select to revert to the 32 bit exe in the betas list although that is not strictly a beta.
There are both private and public betas of 2.50 in 32 and 64 bit under test (visibility depending upon your tester status and registration) and 2.50 at full release is likely to have available as an option the last 32 bit exe that will ever be offered.

I also looked at the exe file its states version 2.20 too. I wonder why its says 2.0 in start menu though. Anyways looks like I am up to date. Im not interested in 32 bit if its not needed. And I've not tested anything for rebirth. I've modded and tested other games, but nothing in the X series as of yet. Thanks for you reply and help. Its very much appreciated.
