game becomes flip cards after a while

ok things were working good for a while, now with just over a day in game according to steam, some sectors run great...others are like flash cards. I can go to some smaller sectors and hunt freighters and fighters perfectly, but others, start out ok then minutes later its a slide show, Been killed trying desperately to aim at a fighter that was passing me 6 times while I was trying to target him. Another time went after a rehanas that ahd stuff on board mt station needed, and couldn't aim accurate enough to hit the JD...my stick moves a little then nothing happens and suddenly, I'mm way over there and hes beating the crap out of me.Didnt someone say something about emptying caches once? Do realize in some sectors its inevitable, in spraining cacous...(or whichever) I think there's a drone factory, and believe me there's a constant line of drones coming out of it...dozens, so FPS there is none, and I avoid it religiously. Wreckville is a nice place to hunt ships there's a jump point there...but it cant be done the way my games running now, and yes I have a few extensions like extra crew, but the only thing that does much is sweet fx,,,and I shut it off and restarted the game twice and it made no difference.

Without knowing anything about your game version, system or set-up, we cannot really help much. First do a Steam gamefiles cache verify for Rebirth in case of installation issues.

Next read a few similar or related past threads such as here or here.

If you want more help after that then you will have to give more information and a DxDiag - but even that may not let us help much with a non-vanilla game.

yep saw the post abut the defense officers etc..not using it...also have a amd quad core 3,0 with 16 gig in ddr3 (1600 series) and a 1 gig raytheon 3d card...7570 version...every driver is checked automatically every week and in between by me.

Nothing is short or not up to date, the game itself was just reloaded less than a week ago from steam with all updates. But now with 1 day and 6 hours running time its unplayable. I spent all morning trying to shut down different extensions and restart...nothing helped. and I have my computer running with a huge page file too, no loss for that.My only hope is someone had the same problem...or I delete the entire extensions folder completely and play vanilla...if that even helps now.

I hate this game with a passion but have friends that swore it was getting better so here I am again, hours into a game that wont run. Will try deleting the entire extensions folder, if that doesn't fix it, then out it goes...again.

I have a small suggestion: if even the steam workshop is using out of date and questionable extensions....shouldn't they be removed? Was told that Nesa was outdated and not working properly, and its on steam. others there probably are too...let people know and remove everything thats not up to date from the steam workshop.

Getting junk to run under the idea it makes ego look good for having all these extras backfires when they don't work and mess up your games, also we all know ego had nothing to do with anything on Nexus...we did...the mod teams did all that, so they have a little responsibility too for removing old stuff.
