X3AP Bonus Pack - does it install from Steam or not?

A vanilla Steam install of X3AP. The "news" says that the Bonus Pack is available from properties / DLC, and can be uninstalled from there. However, when I look at that tab there is nothing available to either install or uninstall.

Likewise, when I go to the "Downloadable Content for Albion Prelude" page in Steam, it says that "there is no downloadable content for this game".

So I haven't got a clue whether or not it's been installed by default (if it has, I want to remove it).

Any ideas?

If you have no folder in Addon in the Steam TC gamefiles called 'BonusPack Uninstaller' then you probably do not have the Egosoft previous BP download installed. I would imagine that if you do not have a Steam DLC option to either install or uninstall the Steam BP, then you have not selected to install it at any stage in the past and so it is unlikely to be present.

You could check further by seeing if there are several files such as 'setup.plugin [BP function name]' towards the end of the list in your Addon folder 'Scripts' folder. If not then you will almost certainly not have the BP enabled.

Thanks Alan. I think that's a "no" then (at least I had no setup.plugin [BP foo] files in the addons folder.

The presentation on Steam does seem a little vague though.
