Good evening :)

I worked on this small map-viewer for X-Rebirth the last 2 days. I actually wanted to write a map-editor, but I won't have much time the next weeks, so it could take some time until it is a full functionally mapper.

Functions:
  • - Loading of (nearly) every cluster, sector and zone + names from the t-files(you can change the language in the program)
    - Displaying of every spacestation, highway-gate and build-place of a zone
    - Displaying of every important object-information
    - List with the superhighways

Included are a Windows and a Linux binary (both 32bit), a readme and the source code.

Readme:

[Installation]
	Put the editor in the directory with your extracted .dats
	The "maps" and "t" folders have to be in the same directory than the editor.exe

[Use]
	Use the arrows keys to move the map(some objects may be out of your view)
	The sectors need some time to load, don't think the program crashed
	
[Known Bugs]
	Cluster_D_Sector17 won't load
	Last zone in each sector has always the same name "Vapour Stream"

This looks quite good so far. I think the idea of having a standalone map editor would be so much easier and efficient for modders out there. I assume you plan on making this program able to individually edit, delete and add clusters, sectors, zones, highways and stations all in a 3D space?

Being able to export that straight to an .xml file would be amazing.
I can't speel very gewd...

Yes, I'm on it, but I need some time. I won't be at home for two weeks from 21th to the 5th. I will try to code a working editor, before I'm gone, but don't expect too much. :wink:
