HEELP how to install a script?

After loosing 2 hours looking in all sticky's on this site and xscripting, i realize i was as green as 2 hours ago.
PLEASE in god's name, how u install a script???
NOWHERE is a comprehensive noob guide, what i supose to do???
I want to install a station accountat type script...

If you're trying to use a downloaded script just stick it in your X2/scripts directory...

but how do you actually run the script in game?

You have to activate the script editor to run unsigned scripts.

Usually you will find them in a list, where you can just highlight it and press R to run it :)

If I press "R" on the a script it takes me to another two options : Null and something else. What then? I would like to upgrade to v1.3 but until I know how to get the Get.Ware script up and running again I can't afford to do so.
