Is this an issue?

Post by LoveToDie »

I keep getting this message:

The IP Range for your account has changed. The actual Login took place from 50.170.x.x, the previous from 24.8.x.x. If you didn't log on from another location, then may be an aggressor has used your account without authorisation!

Obviously, I haven't logged in from another computer, ever! and my password is a 10 digit generated that could never be guessed.

So why and I getting this warning?

If your ISP uses multiple IPs for your internet account then you will get this message. It is a bit of a throwback to the days when when ISPs only ever gave you one unique IP for your account (and your account only). Your Egosoft posting account uses both those comcast.net IPs as valid alternatives so there is really nothing to worry about and so you can select to ignore the message and prevent it displaying.

Just below 'Profile', 'You have x messages', you will see 'Login Security', select that, scroll to the bottom of the page and select 'Deactivate'.

If that is your wish.
