ok so i have 3 stations at this moment started the empire builder scenario
after completing few of the missions there began to develop my production i have at this moment 120000 medical supplies
i do see the numbers drop sometimes by top of maby 20k or less

i was following the wallet of my station manager before and after a ware drop in number
(before i began building the other 2 stations one is water prep and a hardware suppier *checked it before builded one of them)

so i gave my manager like 1.5 mil Cr and waited few minutes and hours (left the game running)
checking few minutes and few hours for wallet it NEVER got higher then 1.5 mil and NEVER dropped cash into my wallet
so the cash my manager recieves goes into thin air? is that suppose to work like that?

I believe the manager keeps producing as long as possible.

So if it's storage isn't full, it continues to produce wares and continues to spend money on input materials.

I asked this questions myself as well, but technically a station can't loose money: they always make a profit. But: sometimes the profit is locked up in resources that he can't sell due to lack of demand.

The manager starts with an initial budget, but if there is no demand for his produced wares then he will quickly run out of money. You then have 2 choices:
- give him more money
- ignore him

When you give more money he will use that to buy more resources, produce more wares, and with more stock the selling prices drop, so he might start to actually sell stuff.

If you ignore him, he is dependent on others buying his wares. As he makes money on each sale, he can use that money to buy new input materials.

He won't give you any money until he has a full storage is my experience.

The manager will only produce as many of a given ware as he finds he needs (Introduced in 2.10 or 2.20). How many that actually is has not been specified anywhere, but it probably depends on how many different wares he can produce, how much storage they take up, and how much storage he has.

A station can easiliy drain its money, though as pirke says he probably dont loose them per say. At this point they care more about buying recources they need cheap, than they do getting that one recouce they actually need to start producing. I have seen many times that this can lead to him constantly requesting money, while still not producing anything, as he spends them on "good offers", while ignoring that one recource he dont have because he cannot find a good offer. Worst I saw was a station wanting to buy Microchips at 14%+, one of my own stations sold it at 14%-, so significantly cheaper than he was willing to buy, the other station had 3 times as many microchips as the requesting station needed. Yet... He sends his ship to buy food which he already have enough for 9 hours of production...

He may actually give you surplus (seen it a few times), and then a few minutes after request more money from you. I once received 45mill from my ArmsTech, when I afterwards looked at his budget, it said that his minimum required budget was 110 mill cr, his current budget was around 10 mill cr. Why did he not keep the 45 mills him self, it would have put him at half his needed budget.

He gives money to you if he makes a particular big sale without any regard to how much money he actually require.
