[IDEA] X Rebirth Phanon Corporation-esque mod/package

[IDEA] X Rebirth Phanon Corporation-esque mod/package

Litcube had made an excellent addition to X3 with his mod The Phanon Corporation which is now included in Litcube's Universe.

For those who dont know, the plugin added a player-like competitive corporation with aggressive expansion techniques and was neutral to everyone but the player, which was set as hostile relationship.

I am curious as to if the following features are even remotely possible in X Rebirth:

1. AI CEO with a budget (I noticed Berserk Knight as made that possible)

2. CEO can not purchase what it can not afford (must earn credits via trading and station building)

3. Use player zoned build spots to make the player compete with in station constructing

4. Fleets purchased by the CEO actively seek player fleets and stations

In short, it would at a 'real' competitor to play against and offer a valid reason to have military fleets/stations and maybe even provide an economy sink for free-play starts.

Opinions?

If BK is successful in his economy mod plan, and given the quality of his other work there's every reason to expect gold, all npc corps will be working this way to an extent. That said I fully agree, real competition and potential to bankrupt or at least severely hinder your opposition is very much needed for long term play.

That is my biggest question, probably should have made it #1 lol.

I really do hope he is successful as it would fulfill a majority of this...now only if I knew how to make an NPC CEO (Personal testing)

Not bad. But it seems pretty similar as the PMC faction : neutral to everyone else but you, actively fight you, etc.

That was supposed to be the gist behind PMC. Sadly, PMC doesn't actually do anything that I had listed other than fight you, but I feel they were supposed to serve the purpose of an 'aggressive expansionist'.

Is there a guide on implementing a new AI or any pointers? Id like to give a personal shot at this in parallel with BK's mod.
