This is definatly a game flaw, I have been trying to get my pilot to go to my other ship but there is no option to do it.
If that same pilot is able to get into the ship when it is claimed, should he not be able to re-enter it also? I do not see the logic in this current build.

They've not gotten round to implementing small and medium ships properly, I imagine we'll have to wait until they do another big pass on their functionality before the issue is resolved.
After the 64-bit patch and/or 2.10 go live, we can hope for an updated roadmap which will give us more of an indication of when Egosoft intend to address issues like this. For now, as far as I'm aware, it's anyone's guess.
