Cant start X3 AP or TC using steam

I cant run neither TC of AP. The steam is stuck on "Preparing to launch: X3 Terran Conflict". That windows keep opening and closing. I have deleted local content, reinstalled the games, verified local content.

Damn thing worked yesterday no problem. Of course I could use non-steam exe, with actually starts no-poblem, but that one still has a bug that causes the ship to slide sideways endlessly after alt-tabbing (3.0 non-steam exe downloaded from the downloads section), my style of gameplay does mean I alt-tab a lot and I want to be able to do that.

That window comes from the Steam client, not the game. If you've already verified the local files for the game, restarted the Steam client, and made sure that your antivirus software is not blocking the game from running, then you will need to contact Steam support to try and find out why the Steam client is not launching the game.

It randomly started working after I restarted the steam few times. With is weird as I did restart my PC before as well.

Still though: you guys should update the non-steam exe. The steam version does not have the alt-tab bug.

Are you sure it's the nosteam.exe? I use it all the time, Alt-Tabbing at will with no problems. It sounds like you may hava a controller problem of some sort.
