After my mouse died I went out to get a new one, thought “why not” and bought an Xbox 360 Controller for Windows (what is just an Controller with an whatever to USB adaptor).
While using Windows 8.1 there is no separate Driver installation since they are already included so I went to calibrate it and all worked fine BUT.
When I want to fire my Primary Weapons (so the right lower button) my ship just fly backwards or stop furthermore the rumble wont... rumble.
I hopped in to X3:AP to see if it don’t work their either but my ship happily fired its weapons.
Normally I play with mods so I just removed all mods, reset my control set up and start a new Free Play but this wont work either.
The controller is detected in XR (Well it prints its name under “Controller”) and every button work.
Since this is my Second Controller ever used on an PC (first was an PSX Controller) I have no clue what to do.

I’ve searched and tested a bit around and it seems like the problem is the shared axis of the two shoulder buttons witch are driver related (whoever wrote it at MS is just...).
I tried to fix it with an DLL injection (x360ce over xinput1_3.dll) but it didn’t work. Star Conflict have the same issue and also native x360 support so I think it is a Win 8 related bug.
To Confirm this I encourage someone with Windows 8 and a x360 Controller to test it and give some feedback.
