Steam tc doing new home plot cannot land on unknown base

Post by jollyman63 »

I am doing the new home plot looking for the boron. Go to Queens ret, then to shipyard in Aldrin, then fly to unknown Aldrin base but am unable to land. I have a docking comp and when I try to engage I get the positive and fly around forever. Trying to comm I get negative. I know that a que can form and you can wait a bit. Let it fly around for 2 hours and then crashed into the asteroid. I can dock to any other station except the 3 unknowns. Ejected from ship and the watched it dock with no problems. Have Cycrows cheat package installed and I can teleport to any other ship in sector, docked or not except ones at those three stations. Have a save from just before beginning plot and can dock at any station. As soon as I talk to shipyard, those three lock down.

Mods I use are: Advanced Nav Software, Asteroid fusion and relocator, Auto rename player property, Cheat Collection Package, Equipment R & D, Factory Complex Constructor, Improved Boarding, P 2 P patrol, and wing hotkeys
Script Libs are plugin config, hotkey Manager, and ware manager

Unless this issue can be replicated in a vanilla game, I am afraid that we cannot really help you here. Sorry.

"I have a docking comp and when I try to engage I get the positive and fly around forever." Vanilla docking computers should not work like that. If you are in docking range of the target station docking area when you use the docking computer, you either insta-dock (find yourself docked in a blink), or you get a negative response. You will get the 'fly circuit' behaviour if you are too far away from the docking area when you use the docking computer and will then fall foul of collision avoidance issues with big station models. You can sometimes get denied if you are too close too.
