Scenario:
- Using mouse flight.
- Needing to interact with something/someone.
- After finishing the interaction, we exit the menu back to ship flight.
- I then start spinning around like I'm sat on a merry-go-round.
Problem:
It seems like the GUI recognises where my mouse was within the menu and then starts steering my ship as if I had wanted to turn towards my mouse…
Solution:
Please default our mouse cursor to the centre of the targeting reticule. The chances of wanting to turn towards wherever the last think we click on in an interface is remote.

I agree. This thing is very annoying!
Especially if you have Sidewinder Engine on the ship.
Please! Add function to mouse:
After any menu: map, info, dialog, ability, widget, drone, main menu...
It's very, very annoying when you come back from the menu, the ship begins to turn.
Uploaded a video where you can see this annoying feature. Mouse cursor does not captured, so i added subtitles to be seen where the cursor is.

Please! Add function to mouse:
Code: Select all
IF steering mode on THEN after any menu set mouse to center

1. you select something in a menu by dragging the mouse to the right.
2. the menu is closed and the mouse automatically centers.
3. you then wish to steer right and have to drag the mouse to the right again.
4. mouse falls off table.

I very much doubt that somebody operates a mouse in such a way. If you need to drag a mouse to the side and mouse already at that side, you instinctively take the mouse and put it in the center, and only then drag to the side.Senner wrote:3. you then wish to steer right and have to drag the mouse to the right again.
