Performance

Post by ugralitan »

This game looks like it could be far better...massive potential over there.

I am new to the game...But noticed X-Rebirth uses Intel HD Graphic cards instead providing an option to switch it to the stronger card.Has there been any announcement for a fix on that issue?

I decided to wait it out for future patches since playing a game with Intel HD is like watching a slideshow sometimes. (Unless there is a direct fix to that.)

The game can only use what DirectX offers it. If you're not seeing your separate graphics card listed then that's because it's not configured at the driver level to be usable by the game. Try adjusting your driver settings.

Hiya,

A bit of a long shot but if still having problems after that idea, perhaps Bernd's advice about integrated GPUs could help with those CPUs with onboard graphics.

Good luck.

I tried to force the Nvidia Processor as in the performance tips thread.

But it seems at Settings the game still shows as Intel HD...and there hasn't been a performance jump. I'll keep trying to figure it out.

Can you go into the BIOS and disable the IGP (Integrated Graphics Processor)?

I mean if you have an NVidia GPU then it kind of makes the IGP redundant.

[semi-OT] .. apart from seeing you use up a lot more battery life on a laptop/notebook when just doing basic word processing or browsing etc when on the move.[/semi-OT]
