Trying to build a station in De Vries (not sure if spelled right), but all my ship does is sit there. I gave the architect the needed cash for the materials, and a few transport freighters are sitting next to it (one is off in the distance and when I look at the info on it, it has the needed materials my construction ship needs).
Sadly nothing is happening. They are just sitting there. Also it seems some of the icons for buying materials on the construction ship have disappeared. What can I do to remedy this?
Station not collecting resources sitting idle

Hi mate,
I don't really understand your post, but i am going to assume a few things and try and help.
When you say all your ship does is sit there are we talking about a construction ship that you have selected a build site for and begun the station building process?
If this is the case did you tell your architect to supply there own materials or that you would collect them yourself?
If you told them to supply there own materials it would explain why some of the required wares icons have dissapeared as once the trade ship has been ordered to deliver wares the icon is usually faded out. It should only totally dissapear when the trade is completed. Have you checked the stock levels with your architect?
Another thing to try is leave the zone, this for some reason does sometimes get trading started again.
If you went down the route of supplying your own materials it could just be that you have a blocked trade queue. Stupid construction ships can only handle 1 trade at a time and once this is completed no other trades will take place. You can get round this by selecting one of your trade ships in the queue and remove from squad/add to squad. Unless of course the trade ships are all NPC which is a different matter entirely.
Indeed if you have a large queue of NPC traders blocked up this issue caused me many problems! i had to capture/destroy each ship to release all the trades up and start from fresh with my own traders. Hope this is not the case for you though.
In summary supplying construction ships is very buggy and needs fixing. Try to do one trade with construction ships at a time and only move on to the next once the previous one is complete and the trader has moved away and no longer has trading with.... in its current order.
(Failing all this you can edit your save xml to supply the wares yourself. But this is cheating and no one likes a cheater LOL)
Good luck

The ship is Just sitting there. When I started construction of a station I told the architect to gather the materials herself. One trade ship did trade successfully with it but now there is two just sitting there idling doing nothing.louisdowns wrote:Hi mate,

I checked my construction ship and it has only collected two of the needed materials for the construction of the station. The two freighters that are loitering around my construction ship have some of the needed materials needed to build the station, but they are doing nothing.
I left the zone completely (even left the galaxy to go buy a freighter in another), but when I came back still nothing.
I guess I'll just come back to this game in a few months. Right now the game breaking bugs are just killing it for me.

Might be there isn't enough money in the Architects account, I try adding several million more than it needs just incase there's a miscalculation of how much it'll cost for the materials, it's sometimes helped.
Also are these ships the ones from JonFercos and Leidda Industrial?
I've heard people have had troubles with these ships just flying around and not selling their wares.
If that's the case, it's best to just provide the resources yourself.
Also, it's good to get a trade agent for a particular station that has wares you need to build your station, that way you can keep track of the stocks and prices before another ship snaps up the cargo before you do.

Yes it was their ships. But I loaded it today and funny enough they are trading now. Here's hoping it has sorted itself out!spankahontis wrote:OneAmongOthers wrote:The ship is Just sitting there.
