[V1.25] Manually minig Nividium net possible, can not marked

Post by player1 »

English

Manually mining from Nividium is not possible, as the Asteriod no matter how small they are can not be marked.
In the enclosed savegame you stand before a Nividium asteroids has already been slightly reduced. A suitable vessel with mining drones located in your squadron and a few meters behind you.

Sorry for my bad English :(

Deutsch

mining solution

Post by MrUp »

Just tell your ship to collect the item you want and leave the sector.
I have every ship and have mined everything using this technique.

As long as you are in the same sector, the ship will just fly around with a few drones doing nothing.

The cargohold will fill quickly and your captain will report he is full then he will fly back to wherever you are. Works great.

It shouldn't be like this. The ship should do what it's asked regardless of whether you are in system or not.

I'm sorry, I didn't intend to sound as if you did something wrong.
The game has some quirks, and my solution is a simple work-around until egosoft's guys get it fixed.
No offense intended.

Cheers

Absolutely, it shouldn't be like this.. But I think what MrUp was saying is there is a temporary workaround to this.

I also find that entering the backroom of the skunk can clear some of the errors that occur while in zone - at least I'm certain it does for the missing dock icons on a newly built player station. It's also a fair bit less annoying than flying round the highway back :)

Nice

I just needed to do that because my new station didn't offer dock icons. Thanks

I tried that trick but found it only rebooted the missing docks unfortunately the only workaround for the tagging is the Alt-Tab method. Hope this helps.
