Manually adding Cargo Lifters to my station?
Okay so it seems like I hit my first big bug and I may have broke my station, or I'm doing it wrong, BUT I initially built it real quick just to get the quest done (yay campaign eust) without adding anything extra. NOW it seems I can not add cargo loader drones to the station (or anything else for that matter) and I'm assuming I'm kinda SOL because you would need cargo loaders in order to add more cargo loaders..lol
SO is there a way I can manually add cargo loaders to my save? I tried poking around myself but cant figure it out. The save editor that is out there now does not really offer very good features for stations yet (work in progress)....so not sure how I can do it myself.
I might just go back and build it again with cargo drones, but god knows if that will work either. Errr so yeah, ideally, if anyone knows how, I'd like to know how I can add cargo loaders to my station in my save file somehow.
Thanks!
(PS does this count as modding? I dunno, but if there is a mod that would fix this, that would be cool too lol)

In theory if you tell the architect to add drones to a completed base stage (or further) you *should* then be able to send a freighter stocked with said drones, either purchased or stolen, to sell them to the station as long as the freighter has it's own cargo drones.
I don't know how to find the cargo of a station in save I'm afraid although I did spend a little time hunting for how to remove cargo to work around the 300 food trade bug.

Oh really? that might be what I'm experiencing then.
Well, unless someone knows how to add the drones manually via some kinda editor then I might be SOL on this issue.
HOWEVER, my favorite gameplay mechanic still remains, stealing NPC ships and being a space pirate xD
I'll keep stealing ships until someone has some kind of answer because doing it the normal way does not seem to be working xD

Hmmm interesting. Maybe this is an issue with my manager.
Now, I did put a manager on the station (I was assuming any dock would do, though I could have been wrong about that?)
I can walk up to her and talk, but I can not remote call her...perhaps the manager is my issue? Maybe she is in the wrong spot xD
EDIT: I talked to her in person, no option to give her credits. I can give the Architect credits though (though that seems a bit buggy lol)
EDIT TWO: Found the option to give her credits. I'm a noob
lol

In my case the manager had 55Mio budget, 70 cargo drones and about 25 ships idling around the station.. all with "Trading with Construction Shop I" mission.. NPC trading is still buggy as hellYorrickVander wrote:There is a known bug that trades will not complete if the station manager does not have enough credits to cover the entire load, even if the order is for less units.

Yeah, I have the same bug, I also ordered around 600 V. Crushers from the Architect and it wont let me deliver them to the station, even in the trade panel, shows it needed them but greys out when you press next with the ship that has them to deliver.Endeavour79 wrote:There seems to be a bug in station trading since 1.25
I have a couple of stations (vanilla game) doing exactly the same, no trading but heaps of NPC traders all around idle.
So looks like a bug.

If all else fails you can always add drones to your station via a save edit. Find your station in the file and make sure to add them after /surface tag and enclose the drones in the ammunition tags. You can see how that looks by looking at another station for examples. Naming is different for drones as with other wares. Mining drones have mk1 and mk2 designations on top of different names than how they're sold for wares in the file so bear that mind. You can put however many you want but stations like ships will legitimately have around 160-300 tops as what they can hold. There of course limitations to the drones last I checked as even a fully kitted Arawn which is a carrier can only use a fixed amount of drones at a time like the player (eight if I recall) despite being able to hold 300. Same applies to mining or any ship that can use them unless it was changed recently.
