Cursor hud ring & buttons

Hi All
In my hud theres a cursor ring that go's with mouse movement and control of ship is it meant to be there because when i look at inflight game videos and demo videos theres no cursor ring what am I missing.

And as far as i can see the only control with the cursor is the space bar and the wording about that stays on screen all the time.

Also i have a multi button mouse and according to key manual all buttons are in use but on my mouse some ain't got no control and there's no mouse key/button change system as i don't like the game settings for mouse.

Any help please.
