When I start building a station, the contruction opens up (deploys).
When I then leave the sector and then come back the construction ship is closed again, it doesnt redeploy, is this supposed to happen?
Im' running patch 1.24

I don't know if it is "normal" to happen (I don't think so)but I noticed that even far before 1.24... As far as I remember, when you leave and get back, the ship is undeployed... Doesn't semm to cause trouble to fill it with the wares needed to build... just a very bad looking when you Watch freight drones transfering wares...

Others have reported that an un-deployed Construction Vessel cannot trade with small Traders when the player is in-Zone.
Personally, I've seen numerous small Traders heading to one of my un-deployed CV's with orders "trading with [my station]" only for them to get very confused trying to avoid the CV when they get closer. In the end every single one of them has cancelled its trade with my CV. Generally the larger Freighters (with drones) still work fine, though the drone clip the CV model noticably.
The CV packing its self back up has been around since release, and it was reported back then too. It isn't just an asthetics issue though, as it can prevent NPC's - and one assumes the player own small trade ships - from delivering wares.
