Hi all
Just come back to X3TC now I got a better computer that can run it without the game turning in to a slide show as soon as you get into a fire fight got it patched up to v3.2 and life is all good except for one incredibly irritating bug that’s never been fixed as far as I’m aware
The special command software’s circle of shame bug that cause ships running the collect ware command to endlessly fly round and round in circles instead of actually picking up the container.
anyone know of a way to fix this and make the Special command software's collect ware command work correctly
Special command software’s circle of shame bug

Egosoft will now never 'fix' the X3 gamecode and its IS pathing AI in vanilla, but there are things you can do to avoid some of the resulting problem effects.
Go OOS from the collection ship and floating ware collection will go quickly and just fine (using direct pathing without any collision detection) - just as long as your collecting ship is not likely to be attacked while you are OOS, such as in a hostile sector, where enemies patrol, or in *any* War sector in X3AP. Some old advice of mine given to someone else (should you want to stay IS and not fly the collection ship yourself) is given here.
