Ok, the economy sucks. We all know that.
One of the biggest problems is that factories max out their storage on products no one wants (since the ones people want get bought, but the ones that no one wants don't, so they eventually take up the entire inventory space).
Would it be feasible to create a mod that adds ships that just go from station to station buying wares and instantly deleting them? Just to thin out some of the garbage on the market?
[REQ] Economy fixing ships (feasible?)

The devs are looking at this issue :

Hang on in thereRight now we are preparing 1.23 for a beta. The main focus with that patch will be on fixing different reasons for stations (including especially shipyards) sometimes stopping production. In the case of shipyards this means that you may not be able to repair or buy ships from them. Most of the time this is caused by the station not having enough resources, but there are multiple reasons why this happens.

wow, music to my ears. Thanks so much for that post. Eases my frustration a lot.
Seriously, a few more patches and I'm seriously gonna be happy with this game. Maybe they'll even get time to fix that annoying bar music and maybe remove the softcore furry pr0n from the side of my ship.
It's no X3, but that's fine. It's still pretty cool once the bugs are ironed out.

The one I was thinking of is:

There's a Sticky post here in the modding forum with a pretty good list of all the mods, also most of them are on Nexusmods.com if you feel like checking that out.

Ok. So apparently this isn't getting addressed anytime soon. My game now has metalworks fabs filled with silicone wafers no one wants, the turret forges are filled with astrobee launchers and hailstorm/MAs, the URV factories are filled with lvl 1 drones.....
As a result the economy is dead. No reinforced metal plating, no fusion reactors.. no cargolifter drones, no construction drones, no MK 2 drones, no ht/ma, plasma MA/ any good turrets.
And this is inevitable for anyone who plays long enough- my game stays on overnight and has about 600 hours.. The only things keeping it afloat are my own factories with carefully omitted modules to try to prevent this from happening to my stations.
Can someone please make a mod that creates a trader that basically seeks products that are selling at a large discount (ie overstocked), buys, and deletes them?
It's ridiculous that products aren't limited in regards to how much space they take up.. But I would think this mod would help.
