[HELP] Looking for files dictating interaction distances

As the title states, I am looking for the files that determine the max distance the player has to be to hail other ships or to have those options available when interacting with other objects in space. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I can tell they're in the exe or lua :(

Again?? ... dammit!! Figured as much as I can't find a damn thing myself. Oh well I guess. Hopefully someone else might find something or get lucky.

you may be right with the UI files but you also may be wrong with non-editable.. at least the ui/core/messageconfigutationgraph.xml looks promising..
if not stated otherwise everything i post is licensed under WTFPL

Ich mache keine S&M-Auftragsarbeiten, aber wenn es fragen gibt wie man etwas umsetzen kann helfe ich gerne weiter ;)

I wont do Script&Mod Request work, but if there are questions how to do something i will GLaDly help ;)

yeah, looks like a level of detail config file, when things show up and when you are able to interact with them.

docking from the other side of the sector to fast travel ..

Tried some different values in here today, could not see any actual difference in game for seeing/selecting cap ship components or 'in range' of station :(

dang,

looks like there are a few files that are static exports from the engine then (or that are static compiled into it when they build a new one)
