My economy is acting funny, and I was trying to get it restarted, but when I visited the badlands mine station I noticed that since I had been supply ore to everyone, the station had filled up with silicon which had seemed to have caused it to stop production of the much needed ore.
Many other stations have stopped buying AND producing in my game, and I think it may be because they are maxed out on storage of products but are missing one so they cannot process.
I'm not sure thats how it works at all- so essentially I'm posting to get some info.
Is it possible for a station that needs A,B, and C to produce D to fill it's storage completely with A and B, thereby stopping production due to lack of C and not allowing for purchase of anything since storage is filled? Or is there something else shutting down the economy?
Oh, an example may be helpful
The main factories that have shut down (entirely, nothing being bought or sold) are Staples Farms. So is it possible for their stock to be filled with argnu and wheat and no spice, and they can't buy spice because their stock is full?
Station storage?

Well from my recent experience with this same issue this does seem to be the case where they fill up and stop producing anything. I noticed at some stations that ships would be just circling and dock, do nothing, undock and just circle again moments later and then repeat.
The way I got some started going again was purchasing the little bit they do sell to them to clear up space. Then ships started docking and actually selling/buying again. A couple patches ago when trading was broken stations seemed empty for various resources all the time and now its quite the opposite, they have too much. So my miners can never sell their goods even though there's an open trade order. They just sit outside the dock for hours on end before finally something magically opens up and the trade completes.

Well, in theory, when a station get a lot of A" ressources, the price decrease, and become less than the normal. So PNJ freighters should not sold this ressources to the station, because the freighter will not make earnings.

Even in theory that can't work.... Look for example Metalworks Yard. You need is Ore/Silicon(need bulk cargo) to run (mining is free and price don't affect that part). Now you have product that is Refined Metals and Silicon Wafers (need bulk cargo too)... Also Cutcrystals are needed too for Silicon Wafers and they are bulk as well. So if bulk storage is full with Ore/Silicon(because there is not limit/price for them) my station will stop running because of that problem. That is one of problems in game and why economy is collapsing all the time and needs to be fixed soon (when EGO comes back from brake)Général Grievous wrote:Well, in theory, when a station get a lot of A" ressources, the price decrease, and become less than the normal. You mean a station with a production queue with refined metals: http://i.imgur.com/q8OCk5f.jpg
But that isn't running like: http://i.imgur.com/8am28Hv.jpg
Because it's bulk storage is full like: http://i.imgur.com/CVreQhi.jpg
