http://www.nexusmods.com/xrebirth/mods/320/?
This mod adds a five star crew to your stations and ships. It will also add random NPCs of friendly factions to your station. If you don't want the five star crew, delete the FiveStarReplace.xml file that is included.

Tried the ship only version earlier and it worked fine on 1.20. Planning on trying this on 1.20 with this improved version.
EDIT: Worked fine for a bit but will corrupt your save. I have every zone in Ascendancy and Inner World with a station and a couple in LA/FO sectors. It goes a long way to making things seem populated but ended up giving me over 80 specialists around about per station (player stations). I did kind of like being able to pick any sort of specialist but alas we can only have one and not the same type as hirelings on the same station.
My barebones mod setup is 5km/premiumshiptrader(now5star as it doesn't work reliably)/NESA/ignorefuel/buildterranships/rahanashybrid/debug(works on 1.2 fine)/overrideobstructioncheck/bettercockpit.

I want to work on making the population algorithm more intelligent and not overpopulate the player stations. It will be tedious more then anything at this point now that I figured out how to get NPCs on the stations and working.Baconnaise wrote:Tried the ship only version earlier and it worked fine on 1.20. I forgot to mention that any managers that get added with this on a station won't have the ability to take credits through the interface. I docked and redocked and changed zones to no effect. This was the actual problem I had while in game. I exited then tried to load again on three different saves I made for this addon and they failed. It's a great addon imo and I love that npcs can be added for immersion mostly.Strigil wrote:I want to work on making the population algorithm more intelligent and not overpopulate the player stations. EDIT: I apologize for not posting this earlier but the mod does seem to run fine on a new save or station. If I load up a save with stations built already with a few empty it corrupts the save. I do like this a mod a ton though since it ramps up npcs on your station as you extend it. Initial stage is around 30 or so npcs and as you add more docking points it adds more. The manager funds problem is still there and new stations built (possibly new patch 1.22) default to sector when a manager is added which has always been cluster since release.

This mod does work but sometimes it stops working. There is a workaround. This is what I do and it works every time. Save your game and go into the menu, extensions, turn off the mod. Exit the game, reload the game and reload your save. Save your game. Go into the menu, extensions, turn on the mod. Exit the game, go back into the game and load up your save. Now it works.
