mining..whats actually needed

I have tried to mine ore but when I order my cap ship to mine it says its doing so but never launches drones to pick up ore I have blasted for them....is there something else I need to do or is this a glitch..

well not really game play as if its a glitch I would need to write a script (mod) to affect its performance. I needed to do that in x3 TC as mining was not working in that game for me either..until I made a script to do it. so thanks for mioving my post but it should not have been moved.

Do you have those surface mining drones aboard?
And are you sure that you have the right ship? (a mining ship, capable of transporting ore, equipped with surface mining drones and mining lasers?)

And since your mining ore by hand, you need to tag it for the drones to pick up.

i just tried to do some ice mining cause devries needs water so i capped a ice miner i albion sold the ice in it added more surface miners found zone with ice turned on mining mode foung ice with say 2500+ yeld blasted mining ship helped by the time i broke it down to retrevible size and could tag ended up with less than 10% of yeld. this sucks the big talaldi it'll take 40 or more hours to fill a cargo bay for what a coulple hundred thousand credits. needs to be change so you can order your ship to mine on its own whos got the time to blast astroids to tiny bits for little yeld. unless you can and i just dont know how to place that order,cause you know the manual on steam is soooo helpful
