I'm running the Asus G55VW Gaming laptop
(Yes i know, buy a desktop/make one but i don't have the time/resources)
Anyways my specs are:
Core i7 3610QM 2.3 ghz
12 GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 660M 2GB
1 TB HDD
1366x768
Even with everything running at the lowest setting (And with mods to further lower the impact) i'm still only hovering around 10-20 in a non-busy area. And so i'm wondering, should it be this bad? I've played almost every game on this laptop with maxed out settings, i've even seen some one else on the forum with a G46vw which is (I believe) the baby brother version of my laptop, and still about 20 more fps than I am getting.
So what is wrong? Should i reinstall and repatch? I am running 1.19 which I hoped would rocket the frames back up.
Struggling here guys, really want to love the game but the jittery gameplay is killing it for me.
Should i be lagging this badly?

For me lagging seems to be tight to specific sectors (The Great Basin / Pearly Shore) and specific things I do. For some reason in these sectors scanning a station is a major drain on performance. Same is entering a station and scanning boxes or opening them.
Once this starts it seems to build up and create an even larger bottleneck that contains itself. If I let the game run and wait it will restore itself after a while (seconds, minutes) and then I can continue. If I receive feed back from traders or other NPC related communications this can get the system into a complete freeze or almost standstill.
Regretfully my SLI set-up isn't supported, yet. But in general I can run the game in a reasonable speed even with just 1 vidcard.
