Memory issues

I do not know what XR is doing, but on various occasions I get this error


"Your computer is low on memory. Save your files and exit these programs. XRebirth.exe".


In use 3.2 GB, available 4.7 GB...

Do you have a 64 bits system ?

If not, this is the problem ...

Yes win 8.1 64 bit.
Programs such as AfterEffects can use up to 7.

Not sure why machine complains about XR, because even part of the 32 bit space seems free. (though maybe some memory allocation fails)

Don't know. Thought I'd mention it.

That's a normal Windows warning when your memory usage exceeds a certain percentage.
It usually only happens when you have disabled paging.

There used to be a registry hack to increase the percentage at which the memory warning appears. Try google.

Page file is half empty.
And the problem is not so the warning but the fact XR gets stuck.
