[BUG?] Some ships seem to get stuck in trade orders and need resetting

I have noticed that in 1.19 I have some freighters that are getting stuck in a trade order. They stay frozen and don't progress. I had one stuck for hours, because I expected something to happen.

Only thing I noticed is that it had, in majority, orders which were connected to Omicron. I had trade information from that galaxy which was valid and was doing inter galaxy trading to get things moving.

Only way to progress was to cancel the orders completely. Btw there are some situations in which cancellation means loss of money. This is very annoying when it concerns major amounts.

I have seen this as well in 1.19

Mostly it is when I order multiple own freighters to sell stuff to my construction vessel. One sells items fine, and the other parks, waiting for the "spot" to clear. But it will wait seemingly forever. Sometimes it can be snapped out of it by removing/adding it to squad. Other times you also have to clear the order first, and then remove/add

I have an npc miner stuck at a crystal cuttery in cold peaks. ships are already backing up. I can free mine up its somewhere in that queue, but not the npc one. we need s universal trade reset command to get things working again without resorting to capping or destroying the offending ship or editing it out of your save ( of which I have no clue what to do ).
please devs trade will grind to a halt again. I'm on my 7th restart don't want to do it again. I am on freeplay with a lot of time put in.


ALL the stations in cold peaks are now blocked by npc ships. This is starting to get a little frustrating.

Yeah I too confirm that in 1.19 after a while trade ships both player and npc are getting stuck causing the economy to grind to a halt again. :shock:

have same problems about ship stuck in a tradeorder it cannot seem to do, but still cant cancel it

anyone WHO has same problem plz post a reply: "+1" to let devellopers know this is a major problem

+1 yes my traders get stuck too.

Tell them to go trade

they start

Drones fly back and forth

Then they finish

all goods gone from them, no more drones fly

But the trade command sticks in the captains queue and doesn't clear.

I can manually clear it, and then I get the message that the task is done.

Leaving for a darn long time sometimes clears it, but not always.

Same with me, but im seeing a bunch of NPC's seeming stuck also, so its not just the player.

Same thing discover yesterday.

A NPC freighter has been blocked for several hours on my stations attempting to sell some cristals. He has a lot of cristal, but my stations could only buy him 160 ( he had more than 10000 in stock).
The only solution i found was to stole the freighter. My station couldn't make trade anymore until he was "dock".

Yes my Construction Ship stucked a few times when issued a buy order. This happened after the Cargolifter drones stopped working and the wares were loaded into the ship but the order itself didnt finish. After this I canceled the order and set up a sell order.
In this case the sell order finished BUT I did not receive any payments for the wares sold. I demand a FINAL fix for trading already.

yes I have spent over 150 hrs, finished the plot, used no save edits or mods, a lot of time wasted issuing remove and add to squad orders to get ships moving, amongst other things. trade needs fixing up on a lot things still. I also had a bug near the end of the plot where everyone vanished, just icons and yishas empty chair. Also a bug where my taranis sinks halfway into the station to refuel with fuel cells.

I have 30 stations up and running. The majority of the trading kinda functions. Manual trading I have had to sometimes leave and join squad to reissue the trade command. It sometimes unblocks things. I have never managed to successfully cancel a single trade they always magically reappear. Even when the trade fails it never goes away. The only way ive ever managed to cancel a trade is to manually edit the save file.

A design change that would help us to manually clear trades at stations.
If we can name stations individually. And have the freighters assigned to station managers tell us the station there assigned to I could then order the stuck freighter to join my squad then reassign him back to the correct station. At the moment if an energy freighter is stuck I have over 30 of them I have to check each stations ship list and check each energy freighter details to find the one with the same captain name. While im doing that piles of other problems will crop up.

My main grief running all these stations at the moment is that for every station that requires mining or gas raw materials even if I have up to 6 mining ships they don't seem to keep the station fed. They mine, they fill up but they don't unload even if I have the correct cargo on each station thus avoiding the no units bug.

Yes trading is a long and painful affair just now, it really needs sorting soon. Also I cannot remember where everything is I have seen, so we need a trading computer that stores all this information and not keep having to update it. Managers need improving so to actually buy things they need. At the moment trading is too much micro managing and becomes tedious quickly. Please egosoft, fix the trading, eg: ships, managers, stations and trade computer and trade orders. More automation of common tasks.
Also ships and crew disappearing, needs fixing, and some sort of warning system for what happens to ships, and the current trade messages are too short and easily missed. We need some sort of message log, to find messages that we have received and to store them. That way after making coffee, I can come back and check if anything has happened.

a log would really help while sorting one trading issue a few more issues usually crop up and you can't do anything about it since your in the middle of something. And or can't remember what is was when your finished with your current issue.

If a message log is being made please make it so you can delete individual messages. It was one of my pet peeves with previous x game logs was you could only wipe the entire list. That got rid of all the messages you didn't need but it also meant you wouldn't delete the list of 100 messages cause there was a backlog of critical ones you needed to take care of buried in there.
