Shipyard frozen

Post by Manji111 »

Hello,

I have an issue since 1.9, the shipyard in darn hot air can't build any ships.

I can place the order just fine, but construction is stuck to 0% no matter how long I wait.
I read elsewhere that maybe I had to perform the "ressources" mission, but the ship I'm trying to buil is the freighter intended for this purpose...

On the other repairing worked just fine until I put this order now both dock are blocked... XL by NPC ship (50%) and the other one by mine.

Any tips to get out of this please?

Thank you.

does this mean you don't have any form of freighter? as the reason that the shipyard production is sitting at 0% is that the shipyard is missing resources. If you dont have a freighter then you are likely to have to go and capture one ( a container version) so that you can use that to restock the shipyard. If you are far enough into the storyline to have enemies then you can quite often capture what you need from those enemies, via hi tech freighters.

Thank for the answer, no by the time I posted I only had the bulk freighter provided in the plot + Taranis (not really suited for trading...)

Regarding the plot, I needed my frighter to deliver 300 food... So right now, I'll have to go "hunting" in albion but most freighter are"energy freighter", it's like mushroom, I'll have to find the right spot :p

I hope they do not replace the ships blockading the jump gate to quickly, having damaged freighter force the blocad might prove to be tough.

Otherwise, I managed to get one heavy armoured frighter from the reavers... Empty, and fly like a rock... but at least safe from petty raiders :D

That said, I hope economy will become a bit more lively so I don't need to "feed" the shipyard every time I need to purchease a ship.

As a little suggestion for the dev team: It would be nice to be informed of the missing ressources when you pass the order.

So thank you again, I'll try to feed this shipyard, and if I get bored of it patiently wait for the next update in AP.

I can confirm the shipyards are getting stuck for me. Both times I've run through the plot, once completely, they both stuck. And this time I just spent 2 days on a new Free Play game, collecting space cans and upgrading my skunk to arrive at yet another stuck shipyard in my 3rd restart from scratch since release. And its always an Arawn in there. I've spent more hours than I care to admit providing resources to the yards and it never fixes it.

All of my xl builders have a npc ship stuck at 0%, devries also has one greyed out or no option to build. The third guy works fine building smaller ships for me without me having to add resources.

So its really stuck

in 1.19 economy will be only worse.
now in DeVries there is no food :(.
(npc is not transfering goods needed to produce it, and food itself,
and there is no Spices production in DeVries)

for DeVries you need transfer all stuff.

for omicron - only chips and biowire and food.

so you need build MUCH of eco to get shipyard running stable.

This is what broke my first attempted playthrough, I "Believe" the economy was not developed enough by the time I had reached that stage, and ships were unable to dock or undock because of their orders. This resulted in a Universe wide frozen economy where Stations could not receive materials to produce goods and keep the cycle going.

The focus of the problem is either mining ships being cutoff from unloading resources or Tradeships being unable to leave the docking bay because of several other problems with the docking procedure such as nearby ships disrupting the proper operation of the pathing calculation to and from the actual dock area of the station. I also believe that these problems and because of hardware capability but rather an inherently created problem with the pathing systems design. It isclose to working but if you economy doesn't kick start in just the right way these problems formulate.

There needs to be a circumstantial additive to the reaction of several things to happen by default if these problems occur. This was possibly unforseen in the design which require design adjustment or as I would call them "Economy Safeguards" otherwise this will still occur in long played out economies as well I fear.

You're right, the issue was not the shipyard, but the econmy...

After feeding it with weapons, shield generators, Biowire, and microchip I managed to get my ship. But no factory for those stuf in devrie, s I had to hijack quite a few freighter in PMC area (I'm good at boarding now!)

Last bothersome thing, as soon as the xl dock finished the NPC ship it started another... to bad I wanted to upgrade my weapons on some destroyer..

My yards are still stuck in 1.20. Although now I can gain access to the ship dealer by modifying the save file to delete the ship from the build. This will allow me to buy/modify/repair until I reload and then the 0% Arawn comes back. The small yard seems permanently stuck on my Balor build no matter what I do, although I can now at least build in the other small yards in the other systems.

At least I have a method to build Construction Vessels to further my empire for now, as sketchy as it is.

when possible que one of your ships and leave it that way the que is stuck with your ships that can be build when you get supplies there. For the XL yard the construction ship is the cheapest. Then supply parts let it build then when it clears the yard put your next order in before the npcs. When it if finished building but still slowly moving out of dock stand next to the ship dealer. Use remote commands to order the ship to trade to get fuel cells. This immedicately unblocks the ship building que and you can que your next ship before the npcs can.

On the other hand the more npc capitals you build the more of them are flying around in the devries area....

How on EARTH are you supposed to get your hands on Reinforced Metal Plates in the Game???
I've been told you raid High-Tech Vessels, but none of them ever contain it.

It's crazy!!

What If I caused some serious damage to a Plutarch Facility? Will they start making the stuff then?

I've read in an other topic that you had one station producing it, and a freighter every 2 hours...

Otherwise the save editor allow you to fill one of your freighter with this... it worked for me
