Had a Logitech controller...bought a Microsoft X360 for windows...Still unhappy

I have a Logitech Rumble 2. The game will ABSOLUTELY not recognize it as a valid controller. (left and right sticks cannot be un assigned.).

I just paid $65 for a Xbox 360 controller for Windows, in the hope that the 'console' controller that the game was designed for would help my experience.

Now basic functions of the game that should be intuitive are re-mapped...am I missing something or is 'Boost' really a keyboard key now?...Did Egosoft remap to joystick and keyboard and not let any one know via the posts?

The left stick is on the xbox controller the boost. Press it down to activate the booster.
