Hiring Crew glitch - Game-Ender!

When hiring a pilot to go and scavenge a ship that was abandoned, I clicked 'I want to hire you', and he said something about there being no bar on the ship. I watched him walk up into the Skunk and when my FP view came back, the text about the bar was still on the screen and I was trapped in position and unable to move. I think it has something to do with the log popping up to tell me there was an error; I enabled this feature out of academic curiosity to watch the endless streams of error data that pour out of this game. Anyway, the game had not crashed, I could still open the menu but I was incapable of continuing, opening the radial menu or making the text disappear

Its not a glitch in the regular game. Its an error log glitch. No good can come from peeking behind that tattered curtain.
