Hey Ego I'am currently afflicted by the following problems with X Rebirth many are already listed on these forums.
1. Cockpit bug, on occasion my info screens will stop working and animations for leaving and entering the cockpit will cease to open the door and the seat will not turn.
2. Allied Cap Ships will follow me into battle however they are just cannon fodder as they don't use any offensive weapons at all, and only provide me with a place to hide.
3. extremely low frame rate on a High end machine..
4. Disappointment factor very High.. problem #2 is basicaly a game breaker for me.. the fact that the animation and that is bugged, the voice acting is horrible, is nothing but the core of this game is broken and I have my doubts it ever worked.. you released this lump of shit knowing it had game breaking problems..
5. I Hope you know I read credits in games and I have copied the names of every person involved in this scam of a game I will never, ever buy anything again that credits anyone at egosoft, and Deep Silver.
That may sound a bit over the top, but as a consumer of digital entertainment I believe that when I purchase a game that it should deliver on its promises. X rebirth Promised
FEATURES
TRADE! A fully simulated economy that means your actions really do matter. Travel the space highways to find profit in gigantic space cities, swarming with ships and drones.

++ Take the action right into massive structures. Target turrets and shield generators to weaken your enemy, damage engines and jump drives to prevent their ships from escaping, or stop their factories producing to cripple their economy. ++
BUILD! Create your own empire! From trading stations to large factories, farms to hightech military complexes, everything can belong to you. Build for trade and profit or to strengthen your military presence and dominate your enemies.
++ Extend and upgrade your stations to make them operate more efficiently, with every element visible in glorious animated detail. Harvest your own resources to keep your empire running smoothly. ++
THINK! A rich, detailed history and a deep complex plot await you, but you are free to decide when and where to take part. Explore the universe at your own pace - choose your own path and create your own destiny.
++ Get up-close and personal with aliens and humans alike. Land on stations, meet people, then accept missions from them or hire them as crew members for your ships. ++
TRADE, FIGHT, BUILD, THINK... in the X Universe - the biggest sandbox this side of the galaxy.
TO Bad none of those things work in this game.
1st POST ... LAST POST.
One last closing comment.. I cant even believe that you guys thought this was done enough to release.. Your Quality control should be fired along with all the management cause ultimately its their failure.
All of the Above

This doesn't sound like asking for Technical Support. Should probably be moved to X Rebirth Universe forum.
As for your problems it's a shame the game is ruined for you. Unfortunately as PC gamers we always take the risk that our machines might not be the best setup for a game and in return we get the ability to customize and upgrade our machines with parts from hundreds of manufacturers. The standardized equipment of consoles doesn't provide us this freedom or innovation over time of technology. Hopefully performance leaks will be fixed soon. In the meantime if you want help perhaps post your PC specs so we can take a look at what the issue might be.
The cockpit bug is a minor known bug that can be worked around with the Enter menu and going to see the crew and going back. It's annoying for now but usually can be worked around.
The allied cap ships not fighting is annoying for now. It was a simple missed bug that causes certain ships to not have access to a gravidar. So the ships know they are being attacked but can't target enemies to fight back. Since the community helped narrow down this bug being only one line of code I'm confident that Egosoft will be fixing this fairly quickly. In the meantime since you've written off the game anyways you could try the UFO mod and Manual Command Extension over in the scripts and modding forums. They will drastically change the way you interact with ships and I bet you'll be happy to play with them. Makes you feel like a true fleet commander again.
I hope after you rage settles down you'll come back and maybe see how the game has developed after a few months of patching. When the anger over the "new Egosoft buggy game release" that always happens settles down this is a pretty good community that keeps these X games alive with modding for many years after most games have lost their steam.
