Lots of fantastic work as always going on to make the game playable for those who really want to enjoy it. At the moment though it's all geared towards repairing and not inventing.

Egosoft have said they would release the tools eventually, but considering how long they have been using them, and the current product they have released, well, you can draw your own conclusions.

I long for the day that sees the next doubleshadow emerge from the masses, to create a new tool set to aid everyone for the betterment of the game. I for one would be very interested in seeing what we could do with the engine once we finally get the keys.
