How for repair a capital ship?

this is what i did for repair tanaris:

devries system

found a ship vendor

selected tanaris after spoken to him

payed him 30 mil

wait for tanaris to dock

wait for process to finish

ship is still with the same hull value , in this case 48%.


what i did wrong? Is a bug?

happened to me as well.

what i have done throug my many restarts so far is:

1: if you feel like it you can edit your lost money back in your savegame and try again.

2: sell the ship and wait till you can afford a new one

3: start new game

4: make shure that the shipyard is fully stocked... i think it might effect the output much like building a new one

5: find the ship in your savefile and delete the line containing hull values. but make shure it is the right one.

I can affort the lost of money, but i have no idea about the last 2 points :

how can i check if the shipyard is full or empy? In the case is empy how can i refill it??

How is the hull value string?

if a shipyard is buying wares it's because it needs them. (mostly )

and since devries has no trading going it's very likely in grave need. (i asume you tried in devries )

This is maybe due to the missing materials on the shipyard. If they don't have the stock to do the repairs it will be on hold. I have the same with a new freighter I ordered. I didn't understand why it didn't finish. When I read some posts on this forum I looked into the save file and saw that the resource list is still completely open.

So when you deal with the ship trader the list given must be a list of resource demanded for the build / repair and not a list of available resources. Maybe this should be added to make this more clear to players. The only thing that doesn't show-up when it is out of stock is the drones and ammunition. So if there aren't any drones or ammo shown it means the shipyard is out of them and needs to be restocked.

This isn't a bug, but part of the game play. But needs to be more clear on ordering in my opinion.

you see the precise number of both drones and ammo when you order, in those cases you can't buy thigs that aren't there.
