[1.17] Buglist

I have been looking for bugs in the game and so far i wanted to share this with all people and with egosoft. someone else also made this post on steam forum. but he has more problems then i do.so i borrowed his text.
i know you guys are working on patches but i really hope this helps.
  • 1. Enemy ships just sitting still - fish in a barrel anyone ?
    2. Drones left in spawn areas while carriers patrol systems.
    3. Medium Class ships bouncing off space stations.
    4. Capital ships flying through stations.
    5. Friendly Captial ships wont fight.
    6. Freighters docked at stations and doing NOTHING.
    7. Freighters stacked in tall stacks doing NOTHING.
    8. Dead economy - What Economy ?
    9. Not able to trade.
    10. Defense officer isnt attacking enemy's when appointed to a large ship.
    11. mining vessel Sequana when mining isnt selectable anymore(cant give any order). only trough property owned.
    12. No medium class ships can be bought.
    13. Drop rate of mendium class ships under fire conditions appalling.
    14. Unable to repair Medium Class Ships.
    15. Unable to set Medium Class Fighters to fight.
    16. UNable to set ships to patrol - even if you could they wont fight anyway.
    17. Random crashes.
    18. Loss of targeting and information reticule for no good reason.
    19. Shoot an enemy medium transport to have it chase you around.
    20. Encyclopedia missing 50%+ of icons for wares.
    21. Setting a ship to "in your group" while in a station loses the ship from the ship list.
    22. Assiging a ship to a manger loses the ship from the ship list - only found by looking for the manager within ANOTHER ship. Hope you have a good memory
    or better still write it down.
    23. Freighters docking for Energy Cells at buying food ports.
    24. Freighters docking are partly in stations which means you are unable to board them because their engines and jumpdirves is actaully within the station
    graphics. Try to hit it and the station kills you.
    25. On boarding a freighter drones are destroyed - given the ecomony is dead you have no way of getting drones.
    26. Auto target cant quite decide what it is that you want to shoot or look at - unable to cycle through contacts to be able to look at what you want or shoot at
    what you want.
    27. ( i ) points on stations not being saved as being simply scanned or for those that require it drone scanned.
    28. Unable to reread messages - get too many and your stuffed.
    29. Unable to reply to specific messages - get too many and your stuffed.

Impressive list, but there's only about 3 things here that are valid bugs:

1. Drones don't work properly (causes 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 25).
2. Ship collisions and travel paths (causes 3, 4, 24).
3. combat ai issues (causes 1, 10, 19).

The rest is stuff that just isn't fully implemented yet, so they're not really bugs...

Lol that answers my question just bough a fully kitted out Arawn as my first capital ship and jumped it to a sector with 2 enemy capital ships and mine was just sitting there like a dead duck.
Ive assigned 1 of each crew and even rotated the captain and still nothing :(

BTW anyone else think Combat/boarding is too easy? ...Capital ships/fighters should fire more missile to make dog fights more interesting.

I've noticed some cap ships moving through stations in order to dock. So preventing cap ship collections with station will likely hurt trading more and shouldn't be addressed prior to relocating station docking ports that are hard to get too.

Additional:
inability to transfer wares and drones (last one is important) from ship to ship, problems to get repair ship modules with engineer. (several bugs here)

Manager Bugs:
Manager limited to zone sends your mining ship sectors away without fuel.
(2 bugs here)
Manager use (moves,...) construction ship, which supposed to build station and be docking place for trade ships.
Manager use weapons on ships to kill harmless (but enemy) transport ships, and get damaged his station.

Architect extend button is not working when IS NOT grey, he confirms receiving build order(after prices) and rejects it without giving a reason, that's but dependent on zone situation, after manager moves cons. ship, extend could work for once.

enemy fighters can get inside your ship and stations, and if not happened 1 fighter could severe damage rahanas transport (with weapon and defence officer) and you will not be informed that transport is attacked, while transport in your group. (again several bugs here).

no come close, wait here, command NEEDED for traiders: they could wait you in zone near enemy station, which effectively kills them.

1.17 introduced bug with transport ship stocking in same place of space (collision system is turned off) that cause heavy problems with boarding and with convoy mission, last one is bugged also with highways.

1.17 introduced major fps dropping while flying inside highway.

terrible battle for gate of Albion, actually no battle at all too.

no one say which modules should be build in station,
manager and architect bugs is criticall for that mission.

without carefull capship management it is impossible to trade with friendly stations in Albion, while PMC is enemy, while it is necessary to build station,
other way - stealing PMC transport requires fleet management to kill defense near sector jump beacon, which is not working too,
that leaves you two choices one ship against whole corporation, or make peace with PMC (I go to that option).

plot convoy mission is bugged due collision disabled, ship you follows goes inside group of other transport ships, while you can by small firing get other ships away your ship is not responding and not moving after that.

rahanas almost never reappears after prison break mission.(had to reload 8 times)

They are still there. All you need to do go to my property menu, click on station, look for station info/option and they should be there somewhere :P It would be nice if we could name ships or station just like in X3 :D

Edit: There is another bug where animation of cockpit stop working and you can't see any info on screen
It's not world hunger because we can't feed poor,it's because there will never be enough to feed the rich .....
