My arawn has no shields i cant buy so how do i script it

My arawn has no shields and i cant for the life of me figure out how to install some on it so is it something in game that cap ships have no shields..which would mean i would need to make amod to do it...or is there a script alternative...which presumes script running capability within the game.


PS. is it me or does everyone else think egosoft dropped the ball on an aweful lot of stuff with this game.

capitals use Force Field Projectors. these shield the subsystems of the capitals like turrets, egnines, jumpdrive etc. the hull is not shielded.
